Any bargain hunters out there?
'Need some advice from blogland. I'm "hinting" that I might like a ball winder and swift for Christmas and am trying to point B in the right direction. I know that Joann's used to offer 40 or 50% coupons when you shopped online but that doesn't seem to be the deal these days. Joann's current "sale" price for a wooden (birch) swift is $45 and $40 for a ball winder. Is that competitive? Are the products durable or chintzy? Any other vendors for these products? Any and all advice welcome!!

Hey Jo, I'd google for Joann's coupons. Usually I find a 40% off one that way.

I've had two 40% coupons from JoAnn's in the past month. Do you get the email flyers? That is how I got both my swift and my winder, 40% thru JoAnn's.
Ohhh good question and suggestion. I've been watching a couple auctions on ebay for the Glimarka (spelling?) it looks like a good one but I don't know enough about them.
I got my swift through knitpicks but I can't remember if I got the ball winder with it or somewhere else. You might see what their prices are like.

Good news. Joann.com has a doorbuster sale today only and theirs so it's $29.99 and free shipping. I just ordered one.
Make sure you get the one that's price higher in the normal price. You can't tell from the pictures, but the one price higher is the one that is the Royal brand and from what I read online, the other one doesn't last as long...
